Fredericton pairs a compact, riverside downtown with the kind of steady visitor traffic that comes from being the seat of provincial government and home to two universities — the Boyce Farmers Market, the Fredericton Playhouse, and the trail network along the Saint John River all draw both locals and visitors year-round.
Fredericton is also the only city in New Brunswick with a specific short-term rental bylaw, which limits STRs to owner-occupied dwellings with a cap on the number of rooms rented.
